April 22nd is earth day. I am going to go pick out a new tree to plant in my little yard for the birds. Anyone else have earth day plans? 

Awwww I wish I could do that here:( I did stuff back home for earthday but I'm not sure of my landlords rules regarding our yard yet... She lives under us and just started landscaping the yard. We had bushes protecting our yard from the road which is why we moved in but she had them torn up and has people out there every few days working on our yard doing god knows what! 

Remember it doesn't have to be a tree. It could be something like replacing a lightbulb, or putting reuseable bags in your car so you'll remember them next time you go shopping, or unpluging things in your house you are not using like your toaster and cell phone charger. Or anything else that makes a difference, nothing is too small! 

OH! well I can certainly do those things! I always thought planting something was fun too tho! but hey If I can help by unplugging stuff than I help everyday! me and the earth! I want money back when our electric bill comes In! How about feeding some birds or something... I love nature and I like to help it out as much as possible! maybe I'll get a bird feeder...

Thanks :) When I lived in FL we used to do a beach clean up and stuff like that on Earth day :) 

Be careful about feeding the birds...once you start it's best not to stop because then they depend on your food. Also bird feeders sometimes attract other wildlife, like mice. 

Planting flowers in the yard. 

I'm planning on picking up trash around the base and planting some flowers out front of our building and taking a nice long walk with my husband and little one.
