I've got the itch for more ink... Can anyone recommend a place to go in the area? It would be nice to see a pic of work done too! :)
Please send me any "please don't go here" places too!

Thanks!!

I like Mille in Ramstein. I was quite impressed. He did work for me. My 18 year old son wanted a tat for his b-day and I took him for his work. Would recommend calling for an appointment.

i'd be a little careful of having anyone do a tattoo if it's not in a shop so i hope lovecheese's coworker has a place other than at home to do this.

03kidmom, is mile the guy near the church and kreissparkasse? i had a tattoo done there and i was not impressed. he spent most of his time drooling over a couple of tattoos another person did for me. he couldn't get over how good they are. the guy who i usually go to had to fix the one the guy in ramstain did and it was 4 letters!! maybe he's better at other things but i'll never go there again.

Bob, the guy has a shop in the states, he started it up and then got orders to Germany. I have a few coworkers who work at the passenger terminal who can show his art off.

I've never gotten a tattoo so I'm not to sure how good he is. The one sleeve he was working on looked good.

my concern isn't with if the guy owns/did own a shop. there are many people who own shops who aren't that good.

my concern is the place where he does the tatto0 and the equipment he uses. there is too much of a risk of infections and other nasty stuff if the equipment isn't kept clean. the tattoo gun and other non-interchangable items should be steralized in an alcove. the needle(s) should come fresh out of a sealed package for every use. the person should wear new gloves for every tattoo and if he/she has to do something else new gloves are required. the cups the ink is placed in should be new for every use...etc.

the other thing i'm curious about is if your friend is licensed to do tattoos here.

i'm really not trying to be negative here but there are just so many things to consider BEFORE getting a tattoo. i happen to love them. i have 10 right now and i'm planning another one for when i go home next year. but i want to stress that a person needs to really research the person who is doing the tattoo because you will have it for life.

ditto....

I did get a bad infection even from a licensed tattoo shop once.......I think mine was a combo of an OVERLY heavy handed dude and germs

served me right, 2 shops in town, I was impatient and went to #2 after going to #1 for years (yes I have a ton of tats) and served me right

MY husband got a sleeve from Nicky at Blood Money Ink downtown, it looks great, he gets tons of compliments on it all the time!
